Westchester native Joshua Harmon has become one of New York’s brightest young Playwrights. His works include BAD JEWS (Roundabout Underground; Roundabout/Laura Pels; West End), SIGNIFICANT OTHER (Roundabout; Broadway/Booth Theatre), ADMISSIONS (Lincoln Center Theater; Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards, Outstanding Play), and SKINTIGHT (Roundabout). ADMISSIONS recently won the 2018 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play. His plays have been produced across the country and internationally in Australia, Canada, Germany, Israel, Russia, South Africa, and throughout the U.K. Fellowships include MacDowell, Atlantic Center for the Arts, and NNPN/Actor’s Express.

Please join us for a dramatic reading of a selection of Harmon’s work, along with an interesting discussion with the playwright and Emelin Executive Director, Elliot Fox.

H David Stein (Larchmont)

David Stein is a former Professor of Surgery who learned to pay attention to details while performing surgery and has subsequently applied this to photography.

His photomontages show many aspects of the flower in a single montage and are then hand-cut to allow the flower to grow more naturally over the image’s matting.

His photographs have been exhibited at many venues around Westchester, the Berkshires, the Northeast, and in private homes.

Lauren Jean Kroutil (White Plains)

Lauren Jeanne is a fine artist based in White Plains, NY. Lauren has been exhibiting her work with ArtsWestchester of White Plains), Silpe Gallery of West Hartford, CT and Amadeus Piano Gallery of Stamford, CT. She published artwork in Aerie Literary Magazine and Aces Back To Back by Scott Allen. Lauren is also a member of the Gamblin Paints Artist Instruction.

Maureen Meehan (Larchmont)

Maureen Meehan received her BFA from The School of Visual Arts in 1986 and then went on to the LIU Southampton Summer Masters Program to study with April Gornik and Eric Fischl.

She held her first solo exhibit in 1987 at the East End Council of the Arts in Riverhead, Long Island. Her paintings have graced the walls of Lutece, Church Street School of Music and Art, The Society of Illustrators, SVA Gallery.

Her award-winning illustrations have been printed by Ms. Magazine, Playboy, Viking Penguin, Berkley Publishing, St. Martin’s Press, etc.

Maureen lives, paints and teaches in Larchmont, New York.

Dan Sciacca (Harrison)

Dan Sciacca, born and raised in Westchester NY grew up in New Rochelle and currently lives in Harrison, NY. With no formal art training, Dan found his talents only about 3 years ago while playing with his children and drawing with sidewalk chalk on his driveway.  He quickly became obsessed with drawing and as Winter approached, he needed a way to replicate the outcome of drawing with chalk on stone, or concrete. He soon found Bluestone that was small enough to work on indoors yet have the ability to hold the chalk’s vibrancy. Currently, he works out of his home studio. This is the first time that his works are being exhibited for public display.
