Village of Mamaroneck Arts Council presents ART/LIFE lecture series
A lecture with dancer Megan Williams
Megan Williams’ expansive career as a freelance dance artist, choreographer and teacher has spanned three decades. After completing her BFA from The Juilliard School, she danced internationally with the Mark Morris Dance Group for over 10 years. She also taught in the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase for a decade and then furthered her dance education with an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College in 2015. She continues to teach, perform and create. This lecture sheds light on what it means to be a professional dancer.
We are a proud branding & marketing volunteer of VoMAC.
The inaugural lecture was set in Mamaroneck Library’s Community Room. Along with the lecture, Megan gave us a little performance. See it here:
It was a well-attended event that included some of Megan’s students, friends and a group of seniors with Parkinson’s Disease that she teaches dance at the Rye Arts Center.
Look out for their next lecture with Henry Mandell a digital painter on June 20, 2016 at the same location
